Wild Goose Supboarding
About Us
Hi Rich here,
I started Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP) back in 2017 for fun, as I love being out on the water and in touch with nature. You get such a great perspective of the River while you’re standing and paddling in these surroundings – it’s just such a magical way to explore our stunning local waterways.
I grew up in Twyning next to the beautiful River Avon. I have so many fond memories from my childhood. It really was the playground of my youth, swimming, fishing, paddling kayaks, rafts and basically whatever else we found that floated!
I have been lucky enough to gain a wealth of experience of various types of paddleboarding, including multi-day paddle adventures (pitch & paddle) – carrying all your equipment on board, such as tents, stoves, food and clothing etc then covering distances up to 100 miles over a few days. I have also enjoyed many open-water sea paddles, Estuaries, Canals & Lakes – this sport can really give you some truly memorable experiences that will last you a lifetime!
After qualifying via the WSA (Water Skills Academy) as a Stand UP Paddleboard Instructor I have since gained further qualifications including Water Safety & Rescue courses via the (WSA). I am also fully insured & licenced with the Avon Navigation Trust, 1st Aid trained having gained both the ITC Level 3 Outdoor First Aid & Level 3 Emergency 1st Aid at work qualifications as your enjoyment and safety while with me on your SUP experience are my main priorities.
So, what are you waiting for? I look forward to seeing you on the water!
